Here’s a quick cat pet boarding checklist before dropping off your cat with us:
-
Ensure your booking dates with us have been confirmed and arrival times coordinated and agreed. Please remember, we open by appointment only, so if we’re not expecting you, our gates may be closed.
- Do we have all your necessary contact information, including phone numbers & address, as well as contact details of friends or family while you’re away?
-
Cats must be de-sexed and fully vaccinated, with an up-to-date annual booster. If you haven’t uploaded it to the online system already, please don’t forget to bring the certificate so we can note the details. We don’t need to keep the certificate.
-
Apply a flea treatment prior to arrival if necessary. We can administer a flea treatment, for a fee, if required (or deemed necessary by us) during your cat’s stay.
-
Bring any comforts from home you think might make their stay more enjoyable. Perhaps one or two select toys, a cushion or blanket for familiarity. Their special drinking bowl or litter tray would be fine too.
-
Don’t forget the travel cage, as all cats must arrive and depart in one. We’ll hang onto it for you during the stay, ready for their departure.
- Not a frequent flyer? If your cat doesn’t enjoy a car trip as much as you do, see our Feline Fine page for some helpful tips.
- Special foods or medication? We’ll need dosage instructions and the prescribing Vet’s contact details. If you think they’re fussy eaters, you may want to bring along some of their favourite brand to help reduce the amount of change or tummy upsets (frozen in daily portions if fresh meat). If they’re on a prescription diet, please remember to bring enough for the entire stay.
- You know them better than anyone, so let us know about any health conditions or peculiar mannerisms, so we can be prepared should they become evident.
- Payment in full is required prior to check-in. It can be finalised at drop-off (sorry no credit cards, so cash only), if this has been pre-arranged.
- Relax. Your cat’s going to love their holiday and is in the best care available!
